Clunking Noise coming from the prop area

I have a 1988 Four Winns 170 Freedom. OMC Cobra 4 Cyl. 3 L. I bought a new prop. Put that on yesterday and also just started up the boat for the first time this year. When i started it the prop started making a clunking noise and it will move back and forth a litlle.

As in, the prop moves a bit on its shaft? (If so: You probably forgot to tighten the prop nut. Never back off the nut just to line up the cotter pin- torque it down to the proper spec, then go a bit tighter if you need to line up the castle nut with the cotter pin hole.)
