Stability, Seaworthiness, Objective Measurements

I'd like some help with a list of items for a poll to start a new thread.

The poll will allow multiple choices. The objective of the poll is to get an idea of what the members here feel are important characteristics that make a sailboat "Seaworthy".

It's become obvious that most people have an opinion about seaworthiness, but find it hard to describe, much like pornography. "I can't define it, but I know it when I see it".

Please list what you feel are the most important charateristics that make a sailboat fit your definition of "seaworthy". The only limit is that there must be an objective measure of the characteristic.

For instance, "Seakindly Motion" does not qualify, unless you have a way to measure it.

"Roll period of more than 10 seconds" would be valid if posted with a formula that allows the roll period to be calculated.

I'm hoping to end up with a list of measurable characteristics and an idea of the relative import of those characteristics.

If the poll items were:
Red
White
Blue
Yellow

And the results were:
Yellow 10
White 7
Blue 6
Red 1

We could apply the measurements, and weight them to come up with a "Seaworthiness rating".

STIX is the result of list that one group came up with.

I wonder what the members here feel is important.

Thanks in advance for contributing your ideas.

After the poll is created, the accuracy of the measures can be debated and opinions of the relative weight of the items disscussed.

All I'm trying to do here is not limit the poll to what I find important and what I can measure or calculate.

TIA

Randy
