| those are K planes, the X dimension on a performance boat is set higher to minimize the drag at speed. consequently you need a quality tab for several reasons. to keep the bow down on acceleration, to level the boat in a particular sea state and to give a tighter rate of turn you drop one tab when trying a high speed turn,, sort like sticking something in the ground and pivoting around it.. If its a cat the whole thing is different. Ive spun out a few times in my life and hooked too.. It hurts..
