| Calculation of righting lever: For cross-curves based on KG=0, called KN curves: GZ (righting lever)= KN - KG*sin(heel) where in this case: KN = PN KG = KMT The draught is calculated based on the load case. Based on the load case a certain trim and displacement can be calculated using the hydrostatic tables. Based on this data the appropriate cross curves are selected for calculation of the stability curve. google cross curves or kn curves for more information. |
