Batch Equilibrium Analisys Hey all, I'm designing an Offshore Supply Vessel to carry a variety of fluids. I have about 60 tanks and I'd like analize the equilibrium and stability of every loadcase. What software would you recommend to run this analisys? I'm currently using HydroMax (a part of the MaxSurf pack) which is very cool but I have to set each loadcase manually. I would really like to have it done automatically...

HI ricardo.halfeld I think NO software can deal with you problem. but in HydroMax you can cope and paste all tanks one time,i think it is not a larget work.

The real problem with HydroMax (at least in the version I'm currently using) is that the maximum number of loadcases is 25... and I have about 56 tanks in my vessel... So it's a lot of work. Thanks anyway.

Macros and Run Files If you are using NAPA you can make a simple macro to load each tank with what fluid you want and check the resulting draught trim, etc, and check all the relevant intact stability and longitudinal strength criteria with one "button". I think you can do something similar with PIAS and GHS by making a run file, but I recommend NAPA because it is fast and accurate.
