B2 Knock Down

I am 2 months behind on the Seaworthy thread. On January 26, MikeJohns used the phrase "B2 knock down". I have seen that terminology before on this forum. But, googling the term brings zero results.

What is this nomenclature? What is a B2 knock down? How many degrees of knock down are there?

Help.

A B2 knockdown is a 180 deg. one. A B1 is a 90 deg. This is what I understand.

Cheers.

a pic from "seaworthiness, the forgotten factor" by Marchaj, a book we should all read
he, or quoting Froude, writes for example "stability is a double agent and therefore not to be trusted"
