| 8' Tiny Titan (hydro) turning stability i have a 8' Tiny Titan style hydroplane, currently with a 10hp outboard. My issue is that ( in car terms) i get harsh understeer while high speed cornering, which would then change to snap oversteer if any more turning is applied. Now, at slower speeds i can lean into the corner enough to raise the outter sponson out of the water and push the inner sponson into the water, which results in tighter cornering, but still some oversteer occurs. now what i was thinking was adding some sort of skid fin on one or both of the sponsons, and possibly one on the very back/bottom of the boat aswell. my questions are would it be better to have just one fin, or one on each side ( keep in mind i don't race, just cruise around the water) and should they be attatched to the back side of the sponson like an unlimited class hydro plane, or a longer design along the bottom say 12-16" long, getting bigger at the rear. and i was thinking of an upside down dorsal fin style at the rear of the boat, so that the rear end doesn't want to slide out, as it is perfectly flat. |

| yep one on the left sponson but hey then you got to turn left turn right and youll break it right off or hook and roll

| 1) why would it break it off? it would be mounted vertically and not canted at all, 2) so the U- style skid fin would be better then an elongated versdion along the bottom side of one spoonson? 3) what do u think bout the fin at the rear? |

| yea maybe it wont break i think i made a design flaw in mine i arked the center section like a air boat kinda so i am getting way to much bow lift so much in fact that as the tail pops it drifts left and right with no steering input at all shakes the nose i call it i might have tp put some wicker bill under the bow to stop so much lift
