Struct. eng. position available&Struct. eng. service for 45m+ fiberglass proj. needed

Hi,

I'm working for a company, building large (40m+) fiberglass yachts.

1.

Primarely I try to locate a capable engineering company to perform the complete structural design for a 45m yacht due to be built very soon. This work includes:

-All structural calculations
-All structural construction drawings for the workshop
-All structural drawings for the classification society
-Weight study for the complete fiberglass components of the vessel

We can supply detailes on how our workshop works, what materials we use and provide a full Rhino 3D model of the vessel showing the spaces available for stringers.

The timescale is very narrow, so a one man band can not perform this.

If you are interested or know of anyone who might be, please get in touch!

2.

Secondly we are looking to employ a qualified and experienced structural specialist, capable of laying out the structural design of our yachts.

The position bears a high level of responsibility as it entails full responsibility for the preliminary and detailed structural design as well as the supervision and coordination necessary that the yacht is built in line with the stipulated structural requirements of the calssification society.

The aim is to set up a small in-house structural design team, which can handle most of the structural design itself.

The yard and your future workplace is located in Germany and has completed several projects of similar scale.

Benefits and salary are negotiable and linked to experience and qualification.

If you are interested please get in touch.

Thanks & best regards.

Hi, the company I work for has experience with composite structural calculations, detailed drawings for construction, practical composite construction, structures to classification society rules and detailed weight estimates. If you can provide us with a contact email, we can discuss this matter further. Many thanks.

Thanks, we are already in touch but look also into alternatives. It's never good to have just one supplier, isn't it?

Sure, thought I may slip in that suggestion, i have used other engineering companies in the past and high modulus have always supplied the best service.

Composite Workers

How are you doing for mold/pattern makers, laminators and other composite staff?
I have a number of people coming up, over the next few months, as other projects finish up.
All experienced at both the big yards (Pendennis, Wally, Danish Yacht, Kockums) and small (Mathis, Marstrom, etc...).

Hi

I'm an independent Naval Architect who specialises in composite structures. I have several experienced contacts (engineers and draftsmen) that I have collaborated with on projects such as this before, particularly those with tight timescales. We have significant experience in the fields you seek expertise. Please get in touch if you would like to proceed further.

Ship Construction DWG.

hi,
I'm a naval architect with 9 yr experience in shipyard design offices and 3 years recent FRP yacht design in southern California. I attached 3 file for your review which belong to two of our recent projects. The N120 has the ABS classification for the hull and MCA for the machinery. Let me know if I can be of any help remotely, since I have all the software at my home PC and am very fast with AutoCAD and updated with the ABS rules.

Regards,
A.Motevaselani
