Sr. Electrical Engineer - 290' Luxury Yacht in CT

    Aerotek is currently looking for 2 Senior Electrical Engineers to work new construction and repair facility involved with Yacht, commercial and government crafts. The Sr. Electrical Engineer is to manage the Electrical Engineering Department of approximately four other electrical engineers and designers. The job of this department is to support the yard with engineering, design, support of production and quality assurance for the work underway- both new construction and repair activities.

    the SR. Engineer will report to the engineering manager.

    -Knowledge and understanding of all voltage/phase/frequency used through the marine industry around the world.
    -Load analysis for generator/shore power sizing
    -Circuit design for AC and DC
    -Cable/ wire tray routing/sizing
    -Preparation of cable run pull sheets and bills of materials
    -Circuit Breaker coordination/ discrimination test
    -Working knowledge of PLC programming and interface with other devices.
    -Communication, navigation, electronics
    -Test protocol requirements
    -Class and flag design and testing requirements

    Education
    Minimum Bachelors Degree in Marine/Electrical Engineering
