Naval Arch Student Seeks Internship

I am a second year Naval Architecture student (third year soon!) seeking a summer placement anywere in the civilised world. I am a mature student so will not be scared of hard work. I can forward my c.v. for inspection if you are willing to give me a chance. post your reply and I will respond.

ANY ADVICE FROM FELLOW STUDENTS OR EXPERIENCED NAVAL ARCHITECTS ALSO WELCOME.

Hi,

I've had a few and would suggest that you contact your university work placement office... They likely have information on companies that have hired students in the past. If your school doesn't, try looking at other school's websites. Companies that have hired in the past are more likely to do so again.

I'd also suggest faxing your resume and cover letter to offices that you're interested in and calling a few days later. Research the companies and address the letters to them, mentioning things that they are interested in. Doing it this way ensures a response. Emails are often lost or looked over...

It might be worth while to tell us on the forum what you're looking for... there might be offices that we know of that we could suggest or you might reach someone directly... To that end I'd suggest posting your resume and any portfolio you may have (could post in gallery and link from resume)

Best of luck,

Dave

Cheers Dave For the advice. I have a few irons in the fire already. There are not that many companies in The UK who are looking for mature students. I don't know why that is, but i ve already been told by one company that i was too old!!!! I m only 32 Man!!
