Virginia based Marine & Naval Ship Design and Engineering Company has an urgent need to hire Naval and Ship Design Engineers and Ship Design Support Personnel (see position descriptions below) Positions are located in Virginia, DC and NYC


Naval Ship Design / Structural Engineer – Senior Principle ($110K+) DC, NYC

Works independently or on project teams Able to lead or manage medium structural engineering projects or teams or lead and manage small multi-disciplined projects or teams Able to manage cost, schedule and technical product development Able to supervise junior to senior staff on projects or teams Performs quality assurance reviews of complex analyses, calculations and drawings developed by junior and min-level staff. Interfaces with client at a peer level

Master’s Degree or equivalent education in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Ocean Engineering or equivalent

Professional Engineering Certification (in Civil Engineering or other applicable discipline) with at least 18 years of professional engineering experience in naval ship design required

Proficiency in using industry-standard structural design and finite element analysis software tools

Structural Engineer
MS or higher in Civil, Marine, Ocean or Aerospace Engineering with concentration in structures and 18 years experience in design of large structures. NASTRAN (or similar) finite element modeling and analysis experience required. Noise, shock and vibration analysis experience preferred. AUTOCAD skills preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
