Marine & Naval Warship Design Engineering Positions - Chief Naval Architect Opening

Virginia based Marine & Naval Ship Design and Engineering Company has an urgent need to hire Naval and Ship Design Engineers and Ship Design Support Personnel (see position descriptions below) Positions are located in DC and NYC

Naval Ship Design /Chief Naval Architect ($120K) DC

Works independently, or on project teams Able to lead or manage naval research architecture projects and teams Able to mentor technical discipline throughout Company through comprehensive training process Experience with establishment of engineering process development. Industry leadership experience desired Able to manage technical product development Able to supervise junior, mid-level and senior staff on projects or teams Performs quality assurance reviews of complex analyses, calculations and drawings developed by all staff Interacts with clients at peer level

Chief Naval Architect: Responsible for ensuring integration, coordination, consistency and technical quality of products developed within, and serves as senior-level mentor for technical staff in naval architecture and structural engineering disciplines. Requires MS or higher in Naval Architecture or related engineering discipline. Professional registration highly desired. Requires at least 15 years directly applicable experience in the design and engineering of naval surface ships (preferably surface combatants). Hands-on problem solving and superior oral and written communication skills required. Experience directly supporting Navy new construction programs highly desired.

Master’s Degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture. Professional Engineering Certification (in Naval Architecture or other applicable discipline)
with 15 years of professional engineering experience in naval ship design required

Proficiency in using industry-standard naval architecture software tools

U.S. Citizenship Required.
