I've been thinking of trying to make this list for a while now(though not necessarily just Canadian companies). A lot of students come on here and ask. We should start a poll or something and find a volunteer to compile a list.

My thoughts are that pretty much every engineering company is willing to hire students. Research companies that interest you and then contact them. You just need to send them a resume(I highly recommend traditional mail or in person). I am 100% positive that any Naval Arch. student who wants a summer/coop job in Canada can have one though they may have to move to a different city.

Here are marine companies(all Canadian) that I know for a FACT hire students. Most of them have students working there on a year round rotation. I have a fair bit of information about the type of work students did at these companies. I also know the wages the students were paid by several of the companies and opinions as to what the places are like, but you will have to email me for that info.
