Looking for Someone to Draw Hull Lines

I am looking for a designer/drafter/freelance N.A. to produce a set of hull lines for a family cruiser in the 55-60' LOA range. I'm pretty handy with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and I know my way around Rhino, but I just don't have the time or patience right now to really dive into Rhino and figure out how to draw a large, fair hull. I'd rather pay someone to do that part and then spend my time doing the part I enjoy (mainly tinkering).

So. I've got some ideas (length, beam, draft, hull features, etc.) and some photos / drawings to start from. I don't want/need the deck or house, the interior, etc. I would just like a lines plan (plan, profile, body plan, etc.) that I can take and run with.

I'd like to see some examples of your work, and I'd like an idea of how long you think it would take (it's understood that this time estimate may change when all the particulars are agreed to), an estimated fee (whether hourly or flat-rate), and how payment is expected to be made. I am open to students and working professionals alike.

The deck, house, interior, etc. will determine what the final lines will be. The total displacement and weight distribution has a huge influence.

Understood. I have info regarding all of that (i.e. proposed interior layout, deck layout, etc.) and photos/images of deck house size and style that I'd eventually like to incorporate. I also have a pretty good idea of scantling sizes and construction methods.

There is a good chance that whomever draws the hull - assuming the experience goes well and I'm pleased with the results - will eventually get the commission to do the whole thing. But as of right now, I'm just not in a place financially to commit to the entire project.

The hull has to be designed to hold whatever you are going to build and load into it. If you have a layout already done and only need refining the lines and doing displacement calculations, then it can reasonably be done.

I've got a whole mess of sample plans, study plans, and images/artwork gleaned from years of boat shows and internet browsing. Most of them are fairly similar; I've always been drawn to a particular style of classic yacht, ever since I was in high school and working at the local marina.

If I can't find a likely candidate here to provide what I'm looking for, I can always contract with one of the N.A./designers whose plans are close to what I want. My issue with that is that they're going to want thousands of dollars to make what will end up being minor tweaks to an existing design. But getting approval for that from the first mate is going to be a real challenge. She keeps the checkbook

I would also be interested in discussing your project and putting together a quote for you.

I can say from experience in developing hullforms for yachts, workboats, and naval craft, that unless you have a hullform to start with in Rhino, it's much easier, quicker, and better to use a hull fairing program such as Multi-surf, Maxsurf, Fastship, etc. Rhino is great for geo-sim'ing a parent hullform, and usually is adequate for the deckhouse. The Rhino hullform plug-in is pretty good, but still doesn't quite have the capability of Maxsurf, et al.

If I could get everyone to contact me via email at adt7771 at gmail dot com that would be great. I've got a zip file with a couple of files (a study plan and an artist's rendering) of the basic hull structure I'm looking for and the topsides structure. Using the PM feature here is kind of a hassle, but I would like for everyone to operate from the same set of documents.
