Design Position Available

[Yacht Designer]

US Yacht builder seeks Experienced SolidWorks user to join joiner design team.

Successful applicant will:

• Produce 3D models based on:
o Out-sourced design data
o Established practices and standards
o Customer desires
o In-house changes due to updated information
o The ‘buildability’ of any particular item

The above requires a flexible attitude toward the design process.

• Ability to work independently. Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment. This entails communication with:
o Design team to establish the standards for the project.
o Project managers when major issues arise.
o Other disciplines to ensure aesthetic and working success.
o Drafters to ensure drawings reflect design intent
o Shop personnel to ensure final product reflects design intent
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

OK crew, I haven't had the opportunity to post in awhile, but we are SO busy, I had to take care of business first. We need 2 SolidWorks designers; minimum 4 years; cabinet design helpful; you must be willing to relocate. The first post will give an idea of expectations.
