Hi Helen,

Look at www.cherubiniyachts.com and their Classic 20 speedboat which I designed for them. On my website, www.sponbergyachtdesign.com, it is called the Independence Classic 20 (soon to be edited to the current name). It is made out of fiberglass with a wood deck overlay and runs like a champ. So far it comes with a jet drive or an I/O drive, and we are about to develop a V-drive with a conventional propeller. We are also starting to contemplate a new design at 24-26'. I also have a private client for whom I am about to redesign the bottom of a Chris Craft Cobra 21' boat, which will be built in wood-epoxy.

Regards,

Eric

Hi Helen,

Cherubini Yachts does not have any dealer in Europe. If you called them or emailed them, I am sure they would welcome a conversation about it. Talk to David Cherubini, the owner, and tell him I recommended you contact him. They also make the Cherubini 44 and 48 sailboats, which are classically styled sailing yachts with clipper bows; sloop, ketch, or schooner rig, and lots of woodwork. They just took an order recently on a 44.

Eric

I love the CC20, Eric. Around my cruising grounds, almost everything is mass-produced in white fibreglass; there comes a point when all the runabouts start to blend into one generic shape (which lately has looked a lot like a '97 Ford Taurus). It's so nice to see a runabout that actually looks beautiful, rather than just modern. Real hand-finished wood, every curve sculpted to match the overall lines of the boat.... wonderful.

Now to scrounge up $83k USD...

I am not a seller but for old fashioned with nice craftmanship no better than Uli, I seen the website and it is art to the extreme essence.

I would save some future money for him too.
