| Hi I only wanted a job in the UK so i could carry on with my Geneology studies and work as well and maybe find a place to settle down for a while seeing it where my ancestors came from . Im off to Shanghai in a few weeks to project manage for a company thats making a range of power boats and getting into sail boats later , They need to get up to a standard where the company is able to manufacture to survey and be able to export there boats . This is what i have been doing for the past 10 years and traveled and lived in a few differant countries . 2007/8 i worked in South Korea Managing the project for making the world matchracing tour boats that were used in th First Korean international boat show 2008 . I went back 2009 to help the company to get a range of small fishing boats finished for the 2009 boat show as well, plus help finish off a irc cruiser racer they wanted finished off as well for the show . This year its Shanghai and the 2011 boat show there , they left it to late for the show this year . Im not bull shitting you and never intended to . I am not a designer but i know whats right and whats not , Off shore and F1 tunnels boats and the like are my forte and what i love most . i also believe in hands on and dont mind getting stuck in when ever its needed . I belong to the site scream and fly and have been on there for a long long time no matter what country im in i always answer questions on that site Dont believe me look for Tunnels in the fibreglassing section same as this site ! AS I said your loss not mine . You sound like just another grumpy pom so Go take a happy pill or two and get over it !! |

| Was going to keep my nose out of this one but I worked with this James Barlow in Holland for a while and he wouldnt know the pointy end of a boat from the blunt one. You didnt miss out Tunnels, he's what makes Manchester great, whinging and b##lsh#tting. Any potential employees, check his financing first, last i heard he was broke. Cheers James |

| is there love in the air Hello guys you've obviously made a good friendship here and I am pleased that I have made two people come together in such a way, Its like titanic and we all know what happened there. But seriously Tunnel I respect that you have put yourself on the line and said your piece and to be honest I might of got you mixed up with someone else so if that's the case then no hard feelings, but then the next guy (who was staying out of it) hello nice to meet you I'm glad that I made an impression, and you must be honest because I have worked in Holland, on and of over the years so nice to speak to you again every one gets along fine and dandey in this game, how are you? so the problem is for someone to work there arse's of in this trade, contract after contract and has managed to to get a successful business up and running, on what could surely be what he knows, and puts and ad out to guys who may want work and we get a little tit for tat going on that's fair enough, but stop wasting my time. So please if there is anybody out there that is genuine and looking for work don't hesitate to get in touch, and if somebody can tell me how to set up a successful company skint then please let me know. |

| IS THERE LOVE IN THE AIR ? MAYBE NOT !! AS i said i just wanted a job , any kind of job . I dont have a cv so that why i sent what i sent . i have a work history that reads like a novel with a lot more detail and referances from companes ive worked for over the years . A good percentage of these people we still keep in contact on a regular basis and help one another with all kinds a things . But now we have the internet its opened a door into your soul and no mater where you go your past can and will catch up with you , just when you dont want it to . So if you got one bad report maybe there will be others some time as well . I just wanted a job thats all !! ![]() |

| Maybe something to learn Tunnels you obviously wear your heart on your sleeve and that's why I will give you the time of day. You cannot sent emails like that to a potential employer because he didn't reply for a couple of days, as you can hopefully imagine I'm very busy and have replied to every person, good or bad, long or short, unlike many other inconsiderate employer's, so maybe you can take some advise of someone that's been around a while, it's not the way to do things, and if you carry on like that then it's going to be a hard process for you to get started in this game, cause as any builder that's been doing this for a long time know's it aint easy, but at least I know I have a new enemy now so there's something positive to come out of this, and is a prime example of what this industry is all about, bitter people that have not got a clue, hope you take this on board tunnels because there will be alot more |

One place i worked i employed 25 laminators ,i was factory manager there , we turned out a 36 ft motor launch every 4 1/2 days and didnt have to raise a sweat or work over time , gradually over 4 months we cut 5 days off the process, i just got every one to work more efficently and not make any mistakes . My last job 2007/8 In Korea i was given a set of plans and we made plugs moulds and produced 8 fully completed in the water and ready to go match racing yachts in less than 8 months ,As well i had to teach the 12 guys from scratch because they knew vertually nothing about how to make these types of boats at all ,so had to a bring them up to a survey standard quality work job done and finished . Just guessing I would say you are in the 32 to 45 age group am i right ?This is the age of instant communications and people looking for jobs are doing just that and need answers For me this is the end of this story !! so top up your glass and pop another happy pill !! ![]() |

| "we turned out a 36 ft motor launch every 4 1/2 days and didnt have to raise a sweat or work over time , gradually over 4 months we cut 5 days off the process,"......so you managed to make a new 36 foot boat in minus 1/2 day....that IS good work.....
