Job Description:
Develop and maintain engineering documentation for use by manufacturing. Review all documentation for accuracy and compliance to standards. Prepare complex layouts, drawings, diagrams, 3-D models and/or prototypes from data and specifications. Develop and maintain Bills of Material and specification sheets. Maintain existing computer models to "as built" condition. Assist in the development of exterior,interior arrangement drawings, interior plan, profile, section and interior joiner and assembly details and construction drawings. Assist in the development of necessary drawings for FRP tooling construction as required. Transfer 3-D models into 2-D assembly prints for use by production team. Assist in the development and documentation of drawings and specifications for materials and component parts and coordinate their selection and purchase between purchasing, engineering and suppliers.
Qualifications
Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of 3-D, 2-D CAD Product development or mechanical systems manufacturing experience/knowledge required. Extensive experience in 3-D modeling with solids and surfaces as well as detailed drawings and complex assembly creation. Marine industry experience preferred. Familiarity with generating Bills of Material and creating Engineering Change Orders. AutoCAD and Rhino experience is essential. PC knowledge a must: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook[/font]
