| Wishbones or conventional I own a Freedom 33 with wishbones and am considering conventional rigging, any thoughts? Thanks Dwight |

| I've done a lot of engineering on Freedom rigs and other free-standing rigs. One option may be to keep the wishbones but go to a single ply sail on a track. You can added a track to the mast, and all the later Freedom's went that way. Eric

| Thank You for responding. I have trouble getting the sails up and am not sure I have it rigged properly. It seems like more trouble than a conventional rig, though I have little experience with those. I'm not as young as I use to be and the system is heavy and lifting the wishbones is difficult and the mizzen mast wishbone is very low so that I have to watch not to be hit by the wishbone. |
