| VPP for Racing Skiff Hi All, I am doing a design of a racing skiff for a senior design project. Does anyone know of a Velocity Prediction rogram (VPP) that would be suitable for this type of hull, that I would be able to get my hands on. Thanks for any help Bob McGrath |

| if you're looking at a chined hull, you may be able to use a Savitsky method for the resistance, you'd have to check the limitations of this method though. Hazen's model would work for the rig. Tim B.

| I've asked many of the top designers around, and some of those involved in leading edge NA CAD programmes. None of them believe that there is a VPP that will really work for skiffs or dinghies in all aspects. |

| There has been some work done (a MSc dissertation) on that at Southampton University. In itself, there are no differences between a common VPP and skiff VPP, you just need to get good resistance predictions.
