That was great! Imagine 25,000 miles in a planing dinghy-takes my breath away...

Looks very, very tiring. How can you rest with such speed, noise and motion I wonder.

Easy; You work until you're almost dead, then hit the rack.

I buy the full coverage DVD every race, I had to buy a region-free player specifically for it.

Volvo Ocean Race Festival 30th June - 8th July 2012

Ireland will host the Volvo Ocean Race once again, and this time it will be for the finish of the round-the-world competition on Galway Bay in early-summer 2012. The Volvo Ocean Race is a yacht race around the world, an exceptional test of sailing prowess and human endeavour held every three years.

The Volvo Ocean Race Festival will take place from 30th June - 8th July 2012, when a fleet of up to 12 Volvo ‘Open 70’ class boats will arrive at Galway Docks in June 2012 on the penultimate leg from Lorient in France. Well over 40,000 international visitors are expected to travel to Galway.

The final leg is expected to be a three-day race around Ireland, which will offer double points, before finishing in Galway Bay. As well as playing host to a festival expected to last more than a fortnight, Galway City will also host the closing ceremony for the Ocean Race.
