| Spanish skipper Unai Basurko has crossed the finish line of the Velux 5 Oceans in Norfolk, Virginia to complete the second leg in third place onboard Pakea after 68 days 11 hours, 20 minutes. | At 10:03:45 Spanish time (09:03 BST, 08:03 UTC) this morning, Unai Basurko sailed across the VELUX 5 OCEANS finish line taking fourth place in Leg 3 of the circumnavigation and sealing his overall third place, podium position. The local hero sailed his Open 60, Pakea, into the history books in dramatic conditions as thunder rolled around the bay off the port of Gexto, Bilbao, and forked lightning struck the sea around the enormous spectator fleet welcoming the Basque solo sailor into his home port in a truly torrential rain storm.
