Trim tabs when under power

Has anyone looked into or tried adding trim tabs to reduce squat when under power rather than under sail?

Most sailboats have displacxement hulls and blow a huge hole in the water at "Hull speed".

Changing the running angle of the hull would do nothing to change the hull speed , only give more drag underway.

Tabs are used to assist heavy boats on the plane , and adjust the running angle in the plane , sometimes for the better.
