The only time that pos of yours can be sailing at the same speed as a J-boat or S2 7.9 is when you are tied at the dock with your sails up.

for the love of all that is sacred in this world...

stop it. stop it. stop it. i cannot take this any longer. frank, frankly...you're an ******* of epic proportions. you are a boil on the ass of the sailing community. your plastic motorboat with a matchstick for a mast has no business being mentioned in the same sentence with a tp52. you have been ridiculed on every sailing website you join. the ssss people want you gone, the sailing anarchy people had to remove you...you're like a disease. you infiltrate and fester with your spew. it's sickening hw someone can be so demented and yet partially intelligent. sane people, when faced with POSITIVE PROOF countering their claims, will give up after a very short amount of time. you on the other hand, you continue to make claims and have to believe in your own little peanut of a brain that everyone else is incorrect. tell me something francis...how does it feel to be the laughing stock of the ENTIRE SAILING COMMUNITY? and we're not just talking about in the pnw...i mean, in the world. australia, new zealand, canada, the continental u.s., germany, france, the rest of europe....THE WORLD SAYS FRANK MIGHETTO IS A HORSES ASS. THEY ARE ALL LAUGHING AT YOU AND YOUR STUPID BOAT AND STUPID IDEAS. does that feel good? mission accomplished? god you are so obtuse. you actually make my blood boil. in person, not an unfriendly guy, but on the net...i want to f*cking strangle you and laugh while you're choking. continue with this crap frank, and i will be at every turn, every message board, every meeting, just to sit there and yell "f*ck you frank. it's ********, you're ********". until you get psychiatric help, i will be there to mock you. you suck.

to everyone else: i apologize if my rant is offensive to you. i cannot sit by any longer and tolerate this complete ****** take on yachting. i have watched this jackass for a year and a half now spew his dementia. he is a cancer and will affect your own thought processes. this is pure evil incarnate that you are witnessing. frank was spawned by the devil to make us mortals weak, insane, and therefore easily converted. you do nothing but make his satanic powers grow by replying to his musings. frank is now the size of mothra, i'd hate to see what size he may grow to if this is allowed to continue. there is only one option for this site: BAN HIM and BAN HIM NOW. do this before he grows too powerful, before he takes the site over and the rest of the sailing world with it. do it now for it is your only hope.

i will pray for your souls...

Dontcha know? He was going so fast in the 4th mode that the spray blinded him and he got lost after passing the TP-52s.

Monsieur Mighetto!

Congratulations on your victory in the Hope Island Race . Here is a lovely shot of you conversing with the race committee about your disputed time.

Also, Mrs. Frank was wondering who the whore is you are letting steer the boat? She hopes that you are happy with her and are not paying her too much to be with you. Mrs. Frank also reminds you to protect yourself as there has been a bad case of crabs crawling around the Pacific Northwest. (She is so thoughtful, yes?)

Oh monger. Naturally I asked for and was given permission. Photos like this are great for inspiring crew. They are better than the nudes on Sailing Anarchy and just as obscene for some eh!

Lets make certain to get back on topic. My boat is at best a race training boat. She is not a race boat. There are 4 kinds of sailboats.

On the top end are the racers. Many of these have displacement to length ratios of less than 100. True planing performance is below 150. On the lower end are the cruisers. All 4 kinds of sailboats can race PHRF. In fact PHRF was started primarily to race cruisers.

In the middle there are racer-cruisers and cruiser-racers. Cruiser-racers have values for the D/L ratio to the high 300s.

The Disp/Length ratio for the TransPac 52s now being promoted heavily on Sailing Anarchy (hardly an objective web site) - the one we worked numbers on at http://boatdesign.net/forums/showthr...1&page=9&pp=15, the one we think is Trader, is 52.

The displacement/length ratio on my boat is 137. However, without water ballast the displacement/length ratio on my boat is 97 and getting into the racing class designs. We carry 300 lbs of solid interntal ballast for our PHRF rating. Without that weight, the ratio is 87, and racing class.

What I am pointing out to those who know that design is about ratios and not race games, is that water ballast just rockets. TP52s are anti the notion of any kind of movable ballast. The principles upon which they are designed are the principles of the failed experiments in the AC vessels - the ones with a boob at the bottom of a fin. The ones with simple simon Velocity Prediction Programs (VPP) where you can plug in sail area, bulb weight, etc and come out with polars and predictions that are reasonable as long as the course is all windward leeward. It is all so unnatural. A boob job so to speak.

I am also pointing out that there is a very raceable and popular design that is not getting raced because of banter like recently displayed here. The Mac26x boats are PHRF racable. They need not keep the commitee boats out waiting for hours as is assumed and they are capable of winning. My boat isn't even close to being in racing condition. I am also pointing out that TP52s are capable of looking real bad on courses that are not specifically designed for them because they appear to have been designed around unnatural VPPs.

My RC boat has an D/L of 21. It will tear up any boat on the course. And because it is a real planing racer by the math, the 48 inch waterline is of no consequence.

Once again, here are the results *****!

Until you get into the top 7 you have no business posting here.

You are mentally instable and should take the following measures:

WTF,

Using this logic a home made paper canoe would be be a world beater, but it still ain't a sailboat. Over simplification?

Are you looking for the graphic below? The dark form is canoe shaped. It is a fast form for a sailboat and is the form that you try to present to the water acording to Bethwaite Design.

The graphic is that for the advanced Tasar superimposed onto my vessel's hull form. I often use it to demonstrat to crew that the centerboard slot is not in the water when on heel as those-who-like-Bravo-Sierra will tell them dockside.

Fascinating, using this logic, and looking at nature, explains why creatures that are very light - IE ducks - are also fast on the water. I will make up a nice paper hat like that on Master and Commander now and relate a bit of knowledge that may not be well known. Later I will give it the float test. I suspect with a bit of internal sand ballast in the brim it will make a great sailboat. Perhaps it will qualify as a multihull.

Models of the wing of a bird called the swift, have recently been tested in a water tunnel and the results are now published in the Journal of Science. They show that by sweeping back the wing and wing tip, the swift creates "a leading-edge vortex" or a tornado shaped current that lifts the wing. Perhaps the wings of pinguins work the same. What is clear is that when you look at any natural thing in the sea or sky, you do not find weighted bulbs on the end of a thin foil. You can talk about the physics until you are blue in the face, the fact is that natural selection over millions of years did not favor the form required for a TP52 keel. That bulb is grossly ugly to nature, period.

Thinking may get you in trouble with the east-is-leasters. These fellows would have you take off your hats to honor them when they have failed completely. They do not want crew to think. They want crew to purchase their failed experiments. Thats a joke. Nonetheless, to stay on the leading edge of monohull sailing today, you have to be into planing boats and moveable ballast. This is not a mighettoism. It is Jonathan McKee. I will be like him and simply appologize for not liking fixed fin keel boats. No wonder he shy's away from keel boaters. Lighten up - it makes boats sail faster and conversations go easier.
