I would love to find out where the TP52 has been "marketed". I certainly have never seen an ad for the class. Care to either provide a link, frank, or shut up and go away? Care to provide a logic for creating a class just to "dump older versions of them in Puget Sound"? WTF? Steve :confuddled again:

I figured the nutbag was at it again. I can't wait to see his "thoughts" on the new Rosebud. A 65ft version of his favorite race "trainer". This ought to be entertaining.

Shife (et al) - Also can't wait to see Frank's Claims on the New Sjambok now that that owner has left the class to build a smaller distance racer ....

How can you not know why his TP52 was rejected? He says clearly, in the same magazine, that the class executive rejected it for the rigid backstay. Are you really this stupid or is it all an act? |

I hear the next generation Volvo 70's will have 300 hp engines so that they can keep up with the MacGregor 26's doing transpac.

Figgy! Mate, life can be like that! Are you going to pick on what I say now!? Freedome of speech is not everywhere, mate all what I said was that this is a nice thread and next thing I get wired replys from our dear old friends in this site! Life is strange I agree but at the end of the day we are all here to learn I think that the guy who wrote this thread done a very good job! TP52 is a good boat to talk about! Never sailed on before but watched them racing, pretty impressive boats! 5 stars for the designer! Hope you got me at the end! Saf, -------------------------------------------- racing is perfect with me! cruising can be an issue in the future! Ha ha, never understood that!

Saf: I think if you read carefully, you'll find that mighetto's ideas are very bizzare, make little sense, and contradict just about everything we know about physics. The TP52s ARE great boats, and are definitely worthy of their own threads. However, this one is so chock full of fantasy land BS from mighetto, that it is best to view this thread for entertainment purposes only. The boat that mighetto claims will end our silly ideas of building fast fixed fin race boats (the MacGregor 26) has its place among boats. They are popular with beginners, and those converting from powerboating. It would be incredibly foolish to take one offshore, and racing one would be a painfully slow experience. Just keep in mind that you're not likely to gain any real insight in this thread. You'll mostly find a disturbing madness from one individual, and insults and sarcasm from the rest. Makes for a great diversion from doing actual work.

About a year ago I printed this thread out and read it on my daily 90 minute commute. It took me a few weeks to read, and I was... amazed?
