| TOHATSU outboard? Maybe some folks out there can answer this question for me. I am looking into buying the Tohatsu 3.5 Fwd-Ntrl Gear Model, I am looking for a high-quality motor thats not to expensive. ANd this one seemed to satisfy me. I am interested in what pros and cons go along with this motor? Is it optimal for use on a 9-foot West Marine Hard Bottom Inflatable Dinghy to be used in the San Juan Islands and surronding coastal area. Any remarks or comments would be great ![]() |

| They are very good engines. Nissan and Mercury sell them under their label.
