taking video clips on laser sailing

I would like to attach a digital camera to the bow of a laser1 to take short sailing videos. what i have is a compact digital camera and and scuba diving case for it. any suggestions on how i could securely fasten it upfront without having to drill any holes?

Something like this might be good:

I have something similar on my portable in-car GPS and it amazes me how well it stays attached. I would still have a safety line. Also be careful as it heats. Might need to reseat if it is left get hot.
