Spectacular coverage last night by "7"-very few ads and lots of great sailing shots. Wild Oats got a terrible start but has since recovered and is first. No wind right now.
CQS got a terrible start and seems relatively slow. She is in 10th for line honors.....

Possible trouble with Wild Oats-she's headed north. Rumor of hydraulic ram problem...... CQS in 8th(unless Wild Oats is out-then 7th)

UPDATE: Wild Oats XI has officially retired for the second year in a row. Too bad for the crew.......She's headed back to Sydney.

UPDATE: Wild Oats is not heading for Sydney, they are going to Eden on the Southeast coast to get the keel sorted before moving on to Sydney. The keel is centered and safe according to Nic(see below) :

Maserati, Beau Gest, and Black Jack have been parked in the River Derwent within 2 mi of the finish line for hours. Black Jack is now down to 0.2 miles from the line, having passed the other two. Other boats are beginning to pile into Hobart Harbor and stall out. What a silly way to end a race.
