Sunfish cleat support gone bad

the wood under my cleat has gone bad and i cant get in side boat to replace :? it. please help

You need a 6" Inspection port that can be bought at any West Marine. One installed up front will allow you to get to where you need to an also to tell if the boat is taking on water. Common place is in front the the dagger board well and behind the mast.
