While I have not had the Kite out this year yet, I can say that last year I sailed it with the Force 5 base and carbon spar, with the Force 5 boom, using "practice Laser Radial sail from Intensity, and the wee boat sails as good as original with original wood mast and boom, only the smaller sail making it more manageable.

Cannot address heavier air characteristics...yet. Am finishing building an outrigger with similar spar builds...surfer castoffs and T6 lower section of 26 foot yard and 16 foot boom.

I also learned a bit about the process of adding carbon sock to the surfer spars etc. Was PIA job for me, but functions rather well.

Will take some pics I get it out...and get a suitable GoPro or similar camera.

Will post pics of spar later, on different computer.

Should have updated long ago, obviously. Sorry.
