| strip plank construction does anyone talk about this style of construction? or is there anyone building this type of boat! Please let me know Jim |

| There is a pretty active forum on the WoodenBoat magazine website at www.woodenboat.com . Click on "WoodenBoat Forum" and go to the "Construction" category. There are plenty knowledgeable builders frequenting the forum and strip-planking is a common topic. Check the archives first to see what has already been discussed. |

| Alan Jones Hi Jim Just about to start a new project, 46' cutter, strip planked mahogany. Reason for the choice of wood is I am building in Nigeria and we can get as much African mahogany as we need at a reasonable cost. I am at the early stage having just commissioned the design, expect prelim drawings in next 2 weeks and final construction plans by end of July. Cheers |
