When you like to refit this boat, yuo dont need this plans. What yuo need are:much experiens about metalwork:cutting, grinding, welding, painting and about woodwork and design for the interior, tools and 20.000euro for materials, engine, sails, ropes and so on.Dont forget the investment of about minimum 600h of hard work.some more pictures of my version of a v.d.stadt29 sea dog,

Hein,

Many thanks for your reply. Yes, I realise your figure might be realistic, though perhaps if everything had to be done to make it a boat to 'sell'...but the question I raise is the following: do you think I could get it in the water with just the following basics (engine-sails, electrics and welding/painting the shell) with less money....all the rest like wood on the deck, inside furniture would come years down the line, or perhaps I leave it set up like Bernard Motessiers sailing boat....what are your thoughts of the costs. I think I would need a welder to the the welding, unless I don't do a course and learn myself...

Many thanks

Andre

It is possible to get the boat in to the water with some basic things like new paintings(outside and inside)sails, ropes and perhaps a outbordmotor, when you are sailing in warm regions like spain aperfect interior is not needet.
But sails and the motor are the expencif things of a boat
