Someone mind checking my work? I've read all the posts I can find here about replacing stringers, but at some point I guess you just have to jump in and do it. This is the first time I've done this kind of project, so I replaced the smallest one first. I documented the entire thing in a blog in the hopes that some kind soul here might look it over and tell me if I did a good job or not. The blog can be found at http://84irwin31.blogspot.com/2008/0...-stringer.html If I did it right I'll move on to the other ones, but if I've screwed anything up, or could have done something better I would appreciate your candid advice. Thank you.

I think that job was well done. Try pulling on it. Does it come off? Making patterns for the rest of them, use far fewer popsicle sticks or you'll be at it till kingdom come. Use enough to wrap a fairing batten around them and bridge the gaps. You will get the same result as using thousands of sticks. Also do them one at a time to avoid allowing the bottom to slacken over the keel. Good luck. Alan

Well, it doesn't seem to want to come off... I even gave it a good kick and it's still there. That's encouraging, at least. I'll be sure to heed your advice. I'll replace them one at a time and not use a forest worth of popsicle sticks doing it. Thanks for you time, critique and advice. - Aaron
