Smallest yacht

Just wondering what is the smallest yacht to have sailed around the world?
Either stopping off or non stop, and with or with out crew. Im more interested in the yacht and the route that was taken and why.If anybody has any ideas or information i would be most grateful. Thanks

W

Look up John Guzzwell and Trekka. At 20 feet, Trekka is not the smallest, but also not a dangerous stunt like some of the smaller vessels. From a practical point of view, 20-25 feet is about the smallest vessel to reasonably expected to make it all the way around. See this site for a list of the smaller vessels that have made it. http://www.solocircumnavigation.com/

First define a yacht....

Some mad Australian made a circumnavigating in a little tub that was about 3ft long, had some ballast, sail and even a windvane Thus it can be described as a yacht or am I wrong
