    Hi Everyone,

I'm compiling a list of Herreshoff Meadowlarks and their location for the purpose of creating a Meadowlark owners email group.

The Meadowlark was L.F. Herreshoff's design #88 and was penned in 1948. His design goal was to create a cruising length sailboat with the least possible draft for sailing the waters of Florida and the Bahamas.

Over the years the Meadowlark was produced in many different versions, home-built and manufactured, and in many different materials, wood, fiberglass, steel and ferro cement.

The Meadowlark's original design was 33' and was to be constructed in wood plank. The wooden version was featured in Rudder and Wooden Boat Magazine. A 37' fiberglass version was manufactured, per order, in Massachusetts in the 70's and early 80's, by Allan Vaitses.

If your a Meadowlark owner, or know of one, and you would like to help, please email me at geosite@webtv.net, or post a reply here.
    Many thanks,
    Geo
