Seaworthiness of a '70s Seafarer 38

Long overhangs & full keel with cutaway forefoot aren't what I was looking for in a cruising boat, but it's cheap and somewhat local. (Sistership in photos)

Does anyone have experience with the Seafarer 38s from the 70s? Are they considered a seaworthy cruising design?
