| reverse sheer Not for a moment am I promoting my reverse sheer aesthetics compared to established designer/artists (tugs forelock) - but people have remarked that my 5.5 x 2.25 metre Cox's Bay Skimmer looks okay. |

| Trapez and Newspaper Taxi Hi! Gary, it looks a little Trapez by Paul Elvsröm. By the way, in your book "The light Brigade" the Whiting design "Newspaper Taxi" seems to have the reverse sheer. Perhaps I interprete the drawing wrong, but compare the other drawings. | reverse sheer Booster, how about these other two: David Barker's 40 foot Sundancer catamaran and Gordon Trower's Mach 1, which wasn't built but his Warbird was, and that had plenty of reverse sheer too. Paul Whiting's Newspaper Taxi had a low bow and high stern which gave it a reverse sheer-like look - but was really straight along the gunwhale lines. Couldn't download the Elvstrom design. |

| Gary B and Steve W! Yes, nice looking. Gary, regarding Newspaper Taxi, was it the small fore-triangel and big mainsail that allowed Whiting to have that design. A small spinnaker that don't push down the bow. Perhaps the two forward girthstations moves aft a bit (IOR measurements). The aft girth stations becomes larger but the difference between the forward and rear of these stations may be easier to maximize, without distorting the lines too much. Compare the Joubert-Nivelt design ArBigouden. I have problems download the Elvis-design myself... Regards, Booster |

| Hi again Gary B! The more I study the aft girth stations of IOR the less I understand why Whiting made "Newspaper Taxi" like that. Regards, Booster |
