Palmer Johnson

Hi,
If one searches on Yachtworld.com for aluminium hulls, some very interesting yachts come up. A few '70's Palmer Johnsons in particular look to have lovely "classic" lines, and are really bargain prices.
What do the experts think of converting the interiors of these yachts to fast cruisers.?
Why so cheap.?
Will the aluminium have work hardened to a unstable state.?

thnks

HM
