for the non-believers

First a little 19' junk rig that circled the world in the early 80's.
He was out to beat John Guzzwell but only held the record for a short time before Serge Testa took it in Acrohc Australis. I saw this boat lifted out in Darwin N.T. but had no idea what it was at the time. The owner-skipper was in his late 70's then, Sir Harry Piggot, by name and he crossed the North Atlantic several times in her.

And here is a 12ft. FERRO-CEMENT fin keeler designed and built by Jay Benford when he lived on the east coast. He still offers the design in moulded ply.
