It was great to learn that there are other micro-boat enthusiasts out there. I have a much smaller sail on my 9ft kayak and it will generate a bow wave that will wet my elbows in a decent blow on a reach or run. It seems very fast that close to the water but probably 4kt tops. Desperately slow upwind - I cannot get myself low enough to reduce the windage. I had a lot of fun experimenting with it. It has a bruce foil to offset the heeling moment since it's virtually impossible to hike out on a kayak. With more than 80 sq ft sail area and a keel the 2.4m should go well in a puff of wind.
