I wasn't suggesting junk was a term derived from their material choices, though it is a perceived perception, worn out in many of the breed plus a personal reflection of their general handiness and performance I've experienced.

The junk rig has many who love it. This rig has served well for many centuries. I do think there are better options available in rig selection, but those that want one shouldn't be dissuaded, by the nearly anonymous comments found on an internet discussion forum, nor should it be taken personally.
