FAST FRED

How often do cruising boats go faster than racing yachts of an equivalent era, size and style (ie not comparing Procyon to a '73 S&S).

Can you show us many examples where rating boats got slower for their length than earlier boats to the same rule and yet won through a lower rating?

What cruising boats are rated faster on PHRF than an equivalent racer?
