I think you might be looking for a modern sportboat, like the Julian Bethwaite designed 8 metre Vivace or the Paul Bieker designed 8 metre Helter Skelter.

There are many other sportboats sailing in Australia and New Zealand, from about 6 metres up to about 9 metres in length. Sportboats and Libera Classe boats are quite popular in European Lakes areas in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.

Have a try at this link - a local guy has developed a boat (skiff hull) that goes well - although it is for sale, the hull (made by bloodaxe boats) looks great - have a look anyway.... http://www.devboats.co.uk/plusplus/

A ripper of a boat

Re SKIFF parts or complete available

[quote=someguy;95407]I want to design and build a really high performance single handed skiff. Main and chute only. No jib. Trapeze and rack. Speed and handling important. Sailor weight is 80 Kg. Where do I start ?

I am the owner of a 15' international racing musto skiff, which is up for sale for only $5,900 in Australia. If required, I am prepared to SELL parts ONLY, and have 2 Spinnakers, 2 Mainsails (1 damaged slightly), 2 headsails, boom, mast hull, keelplate and tiller gear with rudder.

THIS particular musto skiff has won 2 speed titles at 50 and 52 KPH in Australian competitions in Perth, WA. It's reg # is PDSC 52. I have this boat as compensation for unpaid wages.

This appears to NOT be a Musto Performance Skiff. A Musto Performance Skiff is a single hand, cat rigged boat (no jib, asymmetrical gennaker) - the one advertised here is a two man, sloop rigged boat. I posted your ad on Sailing Anarchy and Australian Anarchists quickly found out what you were selling was NOT a Musto Skiff.

Advertising is best served by placing an ad, and posting pictures.

The Olympics never had the chance to destroy the Javelin class. The current victim of Olympic attention (and the first and only skiff so far) is the 49er.
