how to remove sahft and plug

I have an seized inboard I want to remove how do I plug the whole with the boat in the water once I take out the prop shaft.

"Bostin?" Yikes.

You shouldn't have to remove the shaft to pull the inboard. Just slide the shaft down and as far out of the way as it will go before the prop hits the rudder. The stuffing box will keep the seal.

You've got just a few more months of sailing weather. I'd say run with an OB as needed and do this job on the hard.
