Gelcoat or Paint

Thinking of striping and replacing my yellow gelcoat to a new white. Is it more advantageous to strip it off or gelcoat over or just use one of the newer paints out there.

Thanks
Jeff

By far paint it, Awlgrip is very popular for boats and extremely good but expensive paint.

Sand and repair necessarys and paint it, however Ive never applied it myself and Ive been told its difficult but then they would say that.
