Hi Linda,

What is your specific interest in this boat? I only ask because with the limited information available, you might do better looking at a similar design for which plans, and most importantly, support are currently available from the designer. If you pick out specific details you're after, I'm sure folks here could suggest similar contemporary designs which are available.

I'm afraid I don't have any additional information on this boat, and worse, I somehow missed the contact made in this thread: Eddy Shipbuilding Corp? (and since it was posted by a guest there is no way to contact the poster). But you might want to contact Ron Bloomfield (also in the thread listed above) and see if he has uncovered any additional information since that time.

Best wishes and sorry to not be of much help on this.

EddyCat 13' Sailboat

Linda,
I am a boatbuilding instructor in Bay City Michigan and have been looking for plans for the Eddycat for several years. I have downloaded the plans that Jeff provided and am currently re-drawing them. We may build an Eddycat as this winters project.

I have met with Ron Bloomfield and he has very little additional information.
If you have anymore information please let me know and if you are interested in a copy of the re-drawn plans also let me know.

Bill

building blind

Bill,

We've been looking at the Eddy 13 sketches for a while over the holiday season and are about to convince ourselves to build this thing blind. There is something about this design that really appeals to me so if you do decide to redraw it, please let us know, we would be very interested in how your project went before we finally decide to move forward with this project.

EddyCat plans and construction

We are building an EddyCat, or something close.

I have redrawn the plans but we refer back to the orginals often. We did loft the boat full size and I have tracings of that lofting on mylar.
We also have a table of offsets for station molds.

The building of our EddyCat is documented on our website.

see the 2007 and 2008 Journals.
