I posted these up seperately in the multihulls section but realised later I should have just put up a link to the index. Anyway designer profiles from proboat magazine with designers talking about their boat design history and philosophies both monohull and multihull

I am highly suspicious of the terms 'perfect' and 'best'. I favor the terms 'inadequate', 'adequate', and 'better', instead, with the first of these closest to being an absolute.
