| ". The centrecase and mast step support are added (and yes, the mast step is behind the centrecase !). " and you can see the daggerboard slot on the sketch - and in the build pics. The idea being to increase the foiling base - ie between the lifting daggerboard T foil, and the rudder T foil. Not sure how it will balance ( lots of weather helm perhaps ?) some other boats have the mast moved well forwards, and so the daggerboard can move fwds too. ( but behind the mast ) But the good thing about moths is that you can try things that 'obviously won't work ' .... and sometimes it works fine! ( or at least suggests that next time it will work ) |
