I made this model in fuzhou.

Yes.“shaohsing ch'uan” = "shaoxing chuan"

Because,in the early 20th century, foreign wrote before is to use "shaohsing ch 'uan".

The*sail is made of traditional Chinese cotton fabric . This cloth was originally white , and then repeated the boiling in the water of "薯榔" and drying , to get the color.
"薯榔"(薯莨)Scientific name : Dioscorea matsudae
Stained area : root

http://chinesejunkboats.tripod.com/s...hdCJ.pdfModern Junks crossing the Pacific, including AMOY. Here's a screen shot of the end of AMOY as far as anyone knows.
I really like your models and appreciate how carefully you research and duplicate the historical record.

According to our understanding , the "Amoy" have been parked in Echo Bay (New Rochelle, N.Y.) from 1950s, and then was sold by captain Nilson . Record said : "The Amoy was lost in a storm near Cape Hatteras in 1961 。" But not detailed, just one sentence only .
I can not open the link you provided .
