America's cup live?

Hello all,

As you all know, the cup is back.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find much live coverage of it (i am in the UK). From what i have found so far, SkyTV (££££) is showing it, but no VirtualSpectator any more. Do you know of any internet coverage (free?). Or anything else?

There may be nothing in Canada.

I watched part of an archived race using the animated viewer at the AC site. I was not impressed. And, for the LVC and the AC there will be a charge for this.

Versus in the USA will show the races; but, OLN in Canada has not indicated that it will be covering them.

Sounds good, looks like I should spend a few month over there. Weather should be good enough to live outside. .

hey Nicolas,

Have you tried any of the existing websites like challenger commission or valenciasailing.blogspot.com?

I believe that the only opportunity will be to access the races via a pay-per-view system, where you'll give £5 to watch 2-3 races or the whole day. or similarly say 5 Euros on Eurosport. I think they'll show free highlights on the internet but that's all I can think of for the moment!

Actually in France it's Canal + Sport, Sport + and I-tele who'll broadcast the event and not Eurosport as previously mentioned. No good news really. In Spain it's the National television rtve so you have more chances getting some action on their website, although it might only be accessible to spanish internauts. Same goes with Germany (ard, zdf) Netherlands (nos). In Greece it's Supersport so I'll have a lok for you and if I find something I'll let you know once I see you in the department

None of the english nor french websites for the broadcasters on the AC TV list offer a webcast.

Has anyone found a source for AC racing?

A couple other people have flagged the message above by SuperPiper as rude, but I'm pretty sure he meant it as humor not to be rude.

Oooh Sorry Guys.

I am the slacker Canadian.

The message indicated that I could not get the webcast because I was not Italian.

Hiya,

Any idea if La 7 is also broadcasting it on the sattelite? And where to find a schedule of the broadcasts?

Grtz,
Arvy

edit: just checked the la 7 website, but it is down. On atlantic bird La7 seems to be transmitting in FTA, but on hotbird it is in videoguard (so far for free broadcasts). Unfortunately I can't receive atlantic bird..

I am wondering, doesn't sailingchannel broadcast it? Unfortunately sailing channel doesn't have EPG (Electronic Program Guide) so i have to figure out what is on their website (http://www.sailingchannel.it). And as I am not itialian I can't read very much of it haha. Fortunately sailingchannel broadcasts in english as well.

the translation from italian is "because you are not in Italy" nothing to do if you are italian or canadian.
